Our native gardens and mini orchards are designed as layered plant systems, where trees, understory plants, and groundcover work together to support soil health, pollinators, and long-term growth.
Mini orchards may include fruit trees such as citrus, fig, apple, stone fruit, or avocado, thoughtfully paired with native and adaptive companion plantings. Each orchard is scaled to the property and designed to mature gracefully over time — not rushed, forced, or overworked.

Native gardens are designed using California indigenous and climate-adapted plants that thrive with minimal water once established. These gardens support local ecosystems, encourage pollinators, and create natural movement and texture throughout the seasons.
Our native landscapes are intentionally composed — blending wildness with restraint — so they feel grounded, timeless, and deeply connected to place rather than overly manicured or ornamental.
❋Mini orchard projects may include:
Citrus groupings (lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit)
Figs, apples, peaches, apricots, or plums
Avocado trees suited to Southern California microclimates
Native understory planting for soil health and water retention
Raised or in-ground orchard layouts based on site conditions

Wild & Tame provides native garden and mini orchard design throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, including:
La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Shadow Hills, Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, West Hollywood, Malibu, Topanga, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, San Clemente, Dana Point, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Projects outside these areas are considered by request.
