1. Free Phone Call
A relaxed conversation about your space, what you’re dreaming about and whether Wild & Tame feels like the right fit.

2. On-Site Walkthrough & Custom Proposal($160)
Melissa spends an hour with you in the garden, walking the space, looking at light, soil, existing plants and what is already working.

We talk through possibilities, what could stay, what could change and where the garden might go next.

Afterward, you’ll have a clear direction for moving forward. If you’d like Wild & Tame to take the project further, we’ll put together the next phase and pricing.

3. Planting and Ongoing Support
From there, Wild & Tame can carry the garden forward through design, sourcing, planting and installation. We can also return as the garden grows for seasonal edits, additions and ongoing care.

We design gardens that feel collected rather than constructed. A little wild, deeply considered and made to become more beautiful as they grow.

Our work can include California native gardens, pollinator habitats, edible landscapes, mini orchards, cottage gardens, moon gardens, rain gardens and small space gardens, along with pathways, raised beds, fencing and other elements that help the landscape come together.

Melissa leads each project from the first walk through the garden to plant selection, sourcing and installation. We work with trusted local nurseries and an experienced installation team to bring the design to life.

Porch & Potted Garden Styling

Not every garden needs a yard.

We create layered, plant filled spaces for porches, patios, courtyards, balconies and the corners around a home that are asking for a little life.

Sometimes it begins with a collection of beautiful pots. Sometimes it is a porch that has lost its way. Sometimes we bring in herbs, citrus, flowers, California natives and unexpected plants until a small space starts to feel like its own tiny garden.

We can work with what you already have, source new plants and containers, and hunt for vintage pieces when the space calls for them.

Every space is different. The point is never to make it perfect.

We want it to feel alive.

Porch Styling:

A welcoming entry sets the tone for your home. Curated plants and arrangements with texture, color, and seasonal interest. Intentional details that invite conversation and feel naturally at home. Optional curation of seating and vintage accents.

Interior Plant Styling:

Some rooms need plants the way they need art.

We choose plants for the light, scale and character of your home, then place them where they can actually live well. A single beautiful specimen, a strange trailing thing in the right corner, an entire room softened by green.

We can work with plants you already own, source new ones, find the right pots and return for seasonal edits as everything grows.

The goal is not to fill a room with plants.

It is to make the room feel more alive.

Some gardens need a little tending before company comes.

If you are planning a dinner, ceremony, celebration of life or intimate gathering at home, we can ready the garden for the occasion.

Sometimes that means planting months ahead so something wonderful is blooming at exactly the right moment. Sometimes it means filling bare corners, refreshing pots, shaping pathways or bringing a little more life around the places where people will gather.

As evening comes, we can layer in soft garden lighting so the landscape does not disappear when the sun goes down.

The garden should not feel decorated for the party.

It should feel as though the party simply happened inside a beautiful garden.

Preparing the Land:

  • Planting flowering trees, vines, or meadow gardens.

  • Creating intimate ceremony settings beneath arches or pergolas.

  • Shaping pathways for guests to move easily through the space.
